I have been teaching drums in some capacity for over 20 years. I started teaching private lessons to my friends and neighbors in middle school. Most of my teaching attention has been focused on the marching arts for the past 15 years. Throughout that time, I have gained experience working with students of all different ages and experience levels.

My time as a performer and session musician have enabled me to gain a vast expanse of knowledge in all forms of music. I have performed in many bands, in many genres, and situations over the years. Each experience is a piece of the puzzle that allows me to teach my students everything from how to read sheet music, stick technique, sound quality, listening skills, performing with others, plus different genres from jazz to pop, rock and marching percussion. Most of all, I want to share the passion of music and drums with anyone who wants to participate.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am offering online lessons for any student, near or far. No matter where in the world you live, I would love to meet you virtually to discuss a plan to get you going on your path to becoming a better drummer and musician. All you need to start is a pair of drum sticks and an internet connection! No need for a drum set to get started!
